If you are new to the world of online Poker, the wealth of Poker related terminology might be a bit overwhelming at first. For that reason we have compiled this glossary. This list is not exhaustive, but we aim to provide you with a comprehensive reference that explains interesting and colorful internet terminology you are likely to encounter in the online casino world. Although it's not essential for you to be familiar with all these terms in order to play the game, they're still good to know.

  • Odds
    The probability of making a hand vs. the probability of not making a hand.
  • Offsuit
    Cards that are not of the same suit. The ace of clubs and the king of spades are called ace-king offsuit.
  • On the Button
    Being the last player to act in a betting round (Dealer´s Position).
  • Online Poker
    This refers to playing poker on the internet. Online poker has boomed in recent years and allows players all over the world to compete against each other for real money or play money.
  • Open Limp
    Being the first person in the pot preflop, but not raising.
  • Open Pair
    A pair that has been dealt face-up.
  • Outs
    The number of cards left in the deck that will improve your hand.
  • Overcards
    Cards higher in rank than the highest card on the board.
  • Overpair
    A pocket pair higher than any of the cards on the board.
