Reverse Martingale / Anti-Martingale Roulette Strategy

A detailed description of the Reverse Martingale Roulette strategy (also known as the Paroli).

Many Roulette players rely on the traditional Martingale System, which uses the strategy of progressively increasing even money bets (a bet with odds of 1:1, that pays you back the same amount that you wagered + your original wager) until you strike a win. However, some gamblers have discovered that by reversing the rules of the original system, you create a new system that lacks the consistency of the Martingale System, but can reward the daring player with huge wins.

The basic idea behind this strategy is that you play with the casino's money mainly and not your own. So you increase your wager when you win and decrease it when you lose. In other words, you double your bets after wins instead of losses - your big bets are your previous wins. In the end this strategy carries the same bankroll volatility as the regular martingale strategy, though. The reverse martingale requires as large a bankroll as the regular martingale, since it can be quite a long time before you catch a decent streak. Actually, you can go through many sessions without winning the big one.

You can see more success by limiting yourself to a certain number of double ups, but then you cut yourself from ever exploiting the one crazy streak that may come along.

Before you begin you need to decide on the lenght of your betting chain (for example 4 bets) and your inital starting bet (for example $10). You need to double your wager after every winning bet. If you win all 4 bets you'd generate $150 net profit and then start all over again.

1st bet of $10 = win | 2nd bet of $20 = win | 3rd bet of $40 = win | 4th bet of $80 = win
TOTAL WIN $150

If you lose you start all over again with the smallest amount, in our case $10.

Personal experience with the Martingale strategy

To begin with I'd like to point out that this is my personal experience with this strategy and it might be different for you. After all, Roulette is a game of chance and there is no guarantee to repeat the same earnings as described below.

I personally have used a strategy based on this system and "won" around $800 within two days playing Roulette at an online casino. First I was skeptical, but curiosity got the better of me and I gave it a try. I played with the bonus money only and set myself a limit to minimize the risk of loosing any of my own money. I could'nt believe it worked so well. I made around $70 an hour (partly depends on how efficient you're with keeping track of the numbers). Starting with only small amounts like $1 made my bankroll go up from $200 to $1600 in no time. I kept doing this for a while and then decided to increase the initial betting amount to $5 so I would gain $5 instead of $1 every time I win.

This strategy worked very well for a while as I only had a maximum of 7 bad streaks so far, which is ok if you stick to small bets at the beginning until you have accumulated enough money in your account and feel confident enough to rise the stakes. Then I had a very long bad streak, but carried on betting since I had wagered a conciderable amount already and wanted to at least break even. Unfortunately, I lost this round, as I reached the betting limit. This was bound to happen at some point and is a risk that I had budgeted right from the start. So I did not mind (well, I was'nt beside myself with joy, but that's another story). Anyway, as I had wagered a big enough bankroll in all my previous bets I happily called it quits and walked away with $800 plus my initially deposited money, which is not bad for a few hours of fun at an online Roulette table.

We recommend you practice this loophole online in the "practice room" of the Casino recommended, until your skills are adequate to produce constant winnings. If you can't win in the practice room, don't be foolish and gamble for real, just realize this is not for you... Cash Out & Call it a day.

The Anti-Martingale strategy is particularly tempting, as after your first winning bet you play with half of your winnings (the casino's money) already and the portion of "your own money" versus "the casino's money" shifts in your favour with each winning bet. The anti-martingale startegy essentially boosts profits significantly when you have a lucky streak and automatically decreases them when the strategy is doing badly, but keeps losses at a reasonable level. If you prefer regular and constant payouts then you should stick to the regular Martingale strategy. However, if you want the chance to win a huge chunk in one go and if can keep your head in situations where things don't go so well, then you might want to try the reverse Martingale system. The Martingale System would work 100% if you had an unlimited bankroll and if the casino didn't have a betting limit. So boosting your bankroll is an important part of getting a roulette system to actually work. One way to do this is to play at online casinos that give you a large matching bonus. The higher the bonus the bigger your bankroll and the better the system can be applied. If you are looking for a system to clear a casino bonus you also might want to consider the Fibonacci roulette system. This system is similar to the Martingale strategy in that you have to increase your wager after each loss, but instead of doubling your next bet you use a set sequence of numbers.
