Dopey Experiment Roulette Strategy
An uncoventional Roulette betting strategy - in other words, simply a way of having fun gambling real money at the Roulette table.
Andres Martinez, a Los Angeles Times editor, described this fun Roulette betting strategy in his book entitled "24/7". He called this strategy the "Dopey Experiment". The idea behind this Roulette system is surprisingly simple. With the Dopey Experiment, you take your Roulette session bankroll and divide it into 35 equal units. Then you choose a single number and keep betting the same amount, one unit at the time, on that number for 35 consecutive spins.
If you get lucky and win during that session (there is a better-than-60 percent chance that you will), you continue playing, still betting one unit on your chosen number, but with the satisfaction of knowing that you're playing with the casino's money and not your own. So, if your number hits during those spins you win back the original backroll and can continue playing with the house money (minus what you've lost) from then on. However, there is only a (1 - (37 / 38)35) * 100% = 60.68% probability of winning within 35 spins (assuming a double zero wheel with 38 pockets).
